Hello, and welcome to the “JJ and Dave” website! Please stop here to read updates on our trials and tribulations overseas in South Korea, and to view pictures as well. Also, please feel free to leave a comment or two (be nice!) if it strikes your fancy.

Jen and I met each other two and a half years ago through the “Yahoo! online dating service”. After emailing each other straight for one month, we finally met for our first “blind” date at the Herkimer bar on Lyndale Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. I was attracted to her good looks, warm personality, disarming and charming smile, and laugh, and she was attracted to my vast knowledge of “Star Wars” trivia. It was a glorious pairing!
Since then, we have managed to become best friends, create goofy dance moves and facial expressions, and share passions for delicious red wine, competitively played Scrabble games, candle-lit dining, and all things “Family Guy”. We’ve also managed to travel to Medora, ND; San Francisco, CA; and Seoul, South Korea. We’re working on the rest of the globe.
Jen has been teaching 7th, 8th, and 9th grade band for 9 years, and has a Masters in General Education. She loves falling asleep during movies, bass lines in music, and Cafe Latte in St. Paul. She’s adventurous, patient, and does not like snakes in any form.
Dave began a career transition last year to larger and more creative horizons (read: quit corporate-America, and is enjoying the new career search), and recently completed his Master of Arts in Liberal Studies. He loves PC gaming, comfortable sweatshirts, petting dogs, and making Jen laugh.
They both love travel, adventure, family, friends, and Dungeons & Dragons (the TV show).
As we depart to South Korea for our latest adventures, from July, 2005, through August, 2006, we hope to meet many new friends, enjoy many new wondrous places upon this fine earth, and sample a tasty treat or two. Please stop by this website as often as you can, and take the trip with us as post our thoughts, struggles, joys, and pictures. And maybe, just maybe, some Star Wars trivia.
Peace and Love! –JJ and Dave.

Dave and JJ,
You two rock! I am so impressed with what you two are doing and the level in which you would go to in order to teach these children. They are lucky to have you, even if you are teaching Star Wars trivia.
We will miss you in Sept but understand that this comes first. Luck, love and laughs to you both.
PS-Great site Tim!

So when do we game?
A) How fast is your interweb connection
B) Have you found some magical bootlegged version of Starcraft yet?

We are having a slight problem w/the ol’ high-speed Internet, but as soon as it’s fixed, I promise, I’ll be out in the ether-world, either chaingunning my oponents, or collecting resources for all-out war. Excelsior!

D-shea, my old, but yet never aging friend, greetings from the great state of Pennsylvania and the birthplace of America….Philadelphia. That’s right, was on the West Coast, but hey, time for a change, why not try the East Coast for awhile.
Congratulations to you and Jen on what you are doing and truly taking your turn to experience life and what it has to offer. I can honestly say (albeit with a huge smile on my face) that the rest of the globe cannot wait until you and Jen drop in on various cities.
I’ll definitely be in touch and be keeping tabs on your trials and tribulations as you jet set across the world
Your old friend and newest blogger….

dave-
i’m an animation producer/writer in los angeles, can i somehow stumbled onto your great blog and spotted the clip of your class performing the dibo play. it’s an immense and unique thrill, as i actually wrote that episode of the TV show (starry night). seeing this video was one of the more exciting things that’s happened in my career.
if i might ask – how did this play come about, and in what context was it performed?
best,

You guys really missed something special with the market in Kyoto. Imagine two impossibly long streets running parallel to one another. Hundreds, dare I say thousands of vendors and shops, and a neverending stream of interesting/sexy/what the hell? dressed Japanese teenagers.
No luck on the job hunt yet, but I’ve had some positive feedback, and an interview today that I rocked the crap out of. Still digging on Korea after talking with you guys about it. Any quick suggestions of how to start? I need something to fall back on.
Hugs and kisses,
Chad
